Chabahar International Branch of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences (IMUS)

 

International branch of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences in Chabahar was established on November 2006. The first groups of students began studying medicine and dentistry since January 2008 and presently about 6 different courses are presented in the university.

One of the main objectives of the university is admitting students from the other countries especially students from the neighboring and also Islamic countries who are willing to study medicine in countries that are culturally and geographically nearer to them. Iran has a well known and well developed system of medical teaching and having such a capability, universities educated most of the required medical forces after the Islamic revolution.

The other objectives of establishing the International Branch in Chabahar:

Solving the health and medical problems of the people living in the south east of Iran especially in the southern Baluchestan.

Establishment of the required infrastructure for changing Chabahar to one of the main medical (tourism) centers of the south-east Asia and Middle-East.

Providing permanent development for southern parts of the Sistan and Baluchestan province.

Admitting oversees students from the neighboring and Islamic countries.
